pool party
A couple weekends ago, I was commissioned to take some pictures for a family friend at her granddaughter's birthday party. It was really fun for me to get into the action and get to know all her grandchildren, all of who are HILARIOUS. I already love working with kids, so I love taking pictures of them!

dia de los muertos
So Austen had this idea for a Dia de los Muertos themed shoot with the lovely ballerina, Tess Lane. With makeup taking longer than expected and a late photographer, we were shooting on Austen's street around 10 pm without any light. We improvised using my car headlights, reflectors, and another small camera light. Creepier than my normal work, I still really love the shots we got.

san francisco with christine chang
I've been so excited to post these. I had an amazing time in San Francisco. I stayed in Alameda with my mom's roommate from college. I wandered around Berkeley and then headed over to the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park to meet up with Christine Chang and the couple whose engagement shoot she was photographing. She was so sweet and helpful, and encouraged me to take some pictures of my own. We wandered around Golden Gate Park and went to a lake and the de Young museum.
She gave me great advice about lighting and angles and stuff. It made me really want to become a wedding photographer :)
