christmas present!

So one of my big Christmas presents this year was a new camera lens! 35mm f/1.8 is an incredible lens. I am in love. I took it to my grandma's house for Christmas day festivities and to take pictures of my adorable  cousins.

Every time I post something on my photo blog, it seems to be after a month or more of no posting. My new year's resolution is to post photos more often. But for now, you will get a couple of posts created within a single hour.

Here are some of the shots from the family photos I did for my bud, Zoe. I love seeing Zoe because she's the quirkiest person in my life. She has two younger brothers and watching her interact with them cracked me up. They are all pretty adorable together!

Here are some shots from my recent headshot session I did with my friend, Luke Schaffer. He's an acting student at AppState. I met him during the first couple weeks of school. I loved catching up with him and getting some head shots done for him :)

Leatherwood Retreat

A few weeks ago, I worked with Tommy White at a traveling horse retreat at Leatherwood Ranch which is about 30 minutes from Boone. Some of the time I was editing photos for him, other times, he just had me run around and take pictures of whatever I pleased. I'm hoping I'll get to work more for him soon :)

gabe and aiden

Last week, I shot some father-son photos with Gabe and Aiden. Aiden is so cute! We went to a local barn in Boone. It's a great place to shoot!

head shots

Adam Woodard is an acting major here at App who I shot some head shots for a couple of weeks ago. We went out to the Blue Ridge Parkway and had a little photo shoot out a barn.

not gone forever!

I'm sorry to anyone following my blog that I have been so bad at posting. I started school about a month ago, and I have been so busy. I want to go out this weekend and take some pictures of the emerging fall season on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to work with the Boone local photographer, Tommy White, in the next few weeks. His website can be found here.
